Emergency medicine questions: Can tranexamic acid be used to treat upper gastrointestinal bleeds?

      Recently I was working in our hospital emergency department when one of our physicians came to me with an interesting drug question: “Can tranexamic acid be used to treat patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeds?”
