Epistaxis is a very common condition in the general population with an estimated 60%
of the total population of the United States experiencing at least one episode of
epistaxis throughout their life. In most of the cases epistaxis results from a rupture
of a vessel in the anterior area of the nose and may be treated with direct pressure
