Levels of pediatric emergency care for hospitals in Tennessee include Basic, Primary,
General, or Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC). Our urban, tertiary teaching
children's hospital is a CRPC and performs continuous review of transports to our
emergency department (ED). Transported patients arrive by EMS ground-transport, helicopter,
fixed wing aircraft, or private vehicle.
